I caught the Macklemore show Friday night at The Bluebird Theater. This is the first time that I have seen him live and it was an awesome show. Aside from the stage dynamic he had with his producer Ryan Lewis, his trumpet player and the crowd, the sound was great.
This was quite a decent change from some of the recent shows I have attended. I know that the Bluebird is a smaller venue, but their system and audio engineer was great and better than many of the larger venues lately.
It gets frustrating when going to some of these underground hip hops shows where you cannot hear the masterful lyricism of the MC’s, which is a large part of the music. So props to the Bluebird on the sound, and of course, props to Macklemore for creating the sound and entertainment.
